The pictures of my series "Sentinels of Ancient Cultures" I present the audience the artand relics of archaic cultures from different places around the world.
However I feel obliged and also very keen to also present our rich national heritage to let more and more people learn about it and nurture it.
The powerful motifs of the ornaments and personal articles in our ancient culture reflect and give respect to cosmic knowledge, the relationship between nature and creation.
I aim to revive, revitalise the decorative and functional art of our ancestors living in harmony with the world and having deep knowledge of the nature. My intent is to introduce the long-forgotten ancient Hungarian culture and civilization to a wider audience - especially to the rising generation.
The original works are typically made of stone, wood, terracotta or leather. The cork-painting perfectly illustrates the look, aesthetic and spatial effects of these objects, owing to the structure of the cell surface of cork and to a special painting technique.
